Thread: Cops Kneel to Wash Feet of BLM Activists.

Cops Kneel to Wash Feet of BLM Activists.

Kind of reminds me of the scene from "O Brother Where Art Thou".

    Delmar O'Donnell:
"I've been redeemed. The preacher's done warshed away all my sins and transgressions. It's the straight and narrow from here on out, and heaven everlasting's my reward."

WTF is wrong with these idiots? Uh, tell them to fuck off and and in a very loud chorus of voices across the country to "save their own neighborhoods from black on black crime first, then talk about the minuscule numbers of police involved cases."

Supplication is the most absurd course of action imaginable.
You will more often be attacked for what others think you believe than what you actually believe. Expect misrepresentation, misunderstanding, and projection as the modern normal default setting. ~ Quintus Curtius

Religious symbology is very common amongst the Anti Racist movement. This article really helped me understand it. Excerpt below:

The Antiracism religion, then, has clergy, creed, and also even a conception of Original Sin. Note the current idea that the enlightened white person is to, I assume regularly (ritually?), “acknowledge” that they possess White Privilege. Classes, seminars, teach-ins are devoted to making whites understand the need for this. Nominally, this acknowledgment of White Privilege is couched as a prelude to activism, but in practice, the acknowledgment itself is treated as the main meal, as I have noted in this space. A typical presentation getting around lately is 11 Things White People Need to Realize About Race, where the purpose of the “acknowledgment” is couched as “moving the conversation forward.” A little vague, no? More conversation? About what? Why not actually say that the purpose is policy and legislation?
Because this isn’t what is actually on the Antiracists’ mind. The call for people to soberly “acknowledge” their White Privilege as a self-standing, totemic act is based on the same justification as acknowledging one’s fundamental sinfulness is as a Christian. One is born marked by original sin; to be white is to be born with the stain of unearned privilege.

OK, that takes the cake as the most incredibly ridiculous thing I've seen to date about "White Guilt"!

As a Christian, I've participated in a "foot-washing" ceremony in church, intended to be (and accomplishing) an expression of genuine humility toward brothers and sisters in the faith, but... members of the law-enforcement community washing the feet of a BLM activist against whom they gave no actual or personal offense?

The police are NOT "corporately guilty" of ANYTHING!
Most folks in law-enforcement, at least those I have as friends or know as patients, are excellent people.

WHERE does this new bullcrap-idea of abolishing, humiliating or otherwise demeaning the police come from?
How can ANYBODY even countenance such obviously ridiculous hyper-pseudo-socialist-propagandist idiocy?

(I've never limited, harmed, or interfered with any black person. My ancestors came from Germany, Scotland and Ireland, and never owned slaves or participated in "anti-black" anything, nor indeed were even here in the USA till the early 20th century, so obviously had nothing to do with Southern slave ownership, so why should I or any other "white" (more pinkish, actually) modern person be considered somehow "guilty" of anything having to do with race-relations?)

The current political-philosophic Zeigeist in our country is unbelievable to me, so I'm definitely not among the "woke".
"Therefore, since the world has still... Much good, but much less good than ill,
And while the sun and moon endure, Luck's a chance, but trouble's sure,
I'd face it as a wise man would, And train for ill and not for good." -- A.E. Housman

If that were my guys here I'd issue discipline for engaging in political activity in uniform. I'd probably make a few enemies, but they can get in line with the others.
Sorta around sometimes for some of your shitty mod needs.

I'll go out on a limb and say that isn't going to be the most fucked up thing I'll see in the next couple of months, but it's close.

I know more cop-hating cops than I know cop-hating private citizens.

Political AND religious. There is no place for either while on duty.
