Aggravated Assault Charges After Shooting At SIMs Training

Inconveniencing folks for the sake of safety IS okay and should be encouraged.

Police say Cody J. Saylor, 28, fired a real gun during the Sept. 15 training session at Threat Assessment & Tactical Solutions Group in Stroudsburg instead of the assigned simunition gun, a nonlethal training weapon similar to a paint gun. Darin McMahon, 46, a businessman in the Delmarva region of Delaware, was hit and paralyzed from the neck down.

When you play dangerous games you get bad results.

A company that advertises "combat games" with sims isn't doing anyone any favors. I hope they are sued out of business.

We had someone shot locally during a privately conducted "active shooter" training session held by a "training" company whose instructors have dubious (and I'm being generous with that descriptor) qualifications, when a live AR-15 found it's way in to the mix. It somehow stayed out of the news and was not fatal. If anyone vetted this group, they would never sign up for a "class".

Such epic tomfuckery, and needless damage and loss.

I took two classes with them and everything was fine but after seeing this I decided not to go back ever.

    Indeed!

It's like watching a combination trust building exercise/Russian roulette.
