I'm with you there. Mastermind should at least have a color that goes with navy-blue pants.

First spear line one biothane belt? I have one in black that I have used very infrequently for IWB carry. It looks similar to a leather belt. Don't know if it fits your needs but I've been pretty happy with mine. I have used it regularly as a daily use belt for probably 5 or 6 years.

For a long time I have used Ares Gear belts, first the Ranger and then the Aegis. I still use them if I am not carrying concealed but am instead doing something semi overt, like department polo and khakis. My usual CC is a G19 or similar in a JMCK appendix rig with a spare mag at 9. If I am on a detail it’s is two spare mags and a Benchmade SOCP support side appendix.

Recently however, after a few comments here on the forum, I decided to try the Mastermind belt. Holy smokes, way more comfortable and I don’t feel I am sacrificing anything with load carriage. I did try the Wilderness version with the plastic buckle but for me that does not stay in place/tensioned without being velcroed down to prevent slipping. I may still use it for air travel, but the Mastermind belt has pretty much taken over for my CC. Totally made me rethink what works best for my requirements .

Buddy, Black goes with Blue. If it's under 1/4 zip, no one sees the belt!

I bet you wear white shoes after Labor Day.

I neglected to add, my choice in quarter zip pullovers these days is Kuhl, a little more fitted but still doable AIWB, I just have to go 43x sometimes. The Mastermind or other minimal belts makes it much easier with the slimmer clothes since there is less of a hula hoop effect, they conform better to the waistline thus aiding concealment.

I also just picked up one of the new MM Specialist Air belts, the model with the nylon buckle rather than metal. Other than the buckle material it is identical to my other MM belts.

Unlike the Wilderness version I referred to above, this one stays cinched without the tail being velcroed down. I definitely prefer this one over the Wilderness model. It also seems easier to thread through the buckle than my other MM belts, but that is the only difference I can note.

The new Mastermind Specialist Air belt uses the same plastic Fastex-style buckle as their earlier, similar Graith model with that buckle (sorry for the tautology).

The slots on the plastic buckle are indeed marginally wider in the vertical dimension than on the metal buckle of the Mastermind Pro, but FWIW I find that the metal buckle actually will hold under significantly greater pull-pressure without use of the hook-and-loop closure for the belt tail, than will the plastic buckle model. (It probably only matters if you're cinching the belt really tight, as I like to do, for best concealment.)

Both are excellent AIWB belts, and since they're ideally never externally visible to others, I don't much care about the color.
