I wish there was an alternative, but I expect to vote for Trump this election. I will vote not because I’m a gun enthusiast, but because the 2nd Amendment and the right of self defense are centrally important to me. How important? So important that I am willing to vote for a dishonest, deranged, and incompetent candidate who threatens many of the other values I hold dear.
I agree with your thoughts, but the game theorist in me doesn't like where a succession of lesser evil candidates takes us.

At some point people will have to start voting for candidates they believe in, but humans tend toward lemmings and need comfort in others going with them. I hear all about how I'm "wasting my vote" for a third party from California conservatives who have no problem voting for a Republican who can't possibly win.

Of course, voting 3rd party is a lot easier when my state will go to the Democratic candidate (even if that Democratic candidate shot someone in the streets of SF).

Says 80% Trump for me, but I think that overstates things. It seemed almost entirely based on three gun control questions I felt strongly about...

    Damn. Trump 81; Tulsi 79.

But Bloomberg was 3rd at 66 percent, and I am crazy skeptical about that. Of course, it said that I only answered 24 percent of the questions, and I’m pretty sure that’s not right, too.

Having heard Tulsi, long-form, on Joe Rogan, I can see the attraction, if only the gun questions hadn’t pegged the red meter.

I don’t get Bloomberg in 3rd. Has he been championing marriage equality and legal weed with million dollar ad campaigns, and I’m just oblivious, or what?

Bernie was last. I like Bernie more than Bloomberg. Or Warren. Fact.

I’m not sure the poll understands the main question. But whatever; if my top 2 are within 1 point of @Clusterfrack and @blues then it can’t be all that fucked up.

But I’d vote for a pack of gummy worms from the checkout aisle at a 7/11 before Bloomberg. That guy violated my home state.

I got 95% Trump, 33% Bloomberg, and 16% Biden. Didn't read beyond that. So I answered the questions honestly and correctly, and even took the time to rate them on matters of importance. But I think that's a little high on all those guys. But tbh I don't know where Bloomberg, Biden, or any other D stands on my less concerning issues, so that might've factored in higher than I expected.

Huh pretty much same for me. Maybe “not socialist” and ”not expressly looking to screw people better off than me” = Bloomberg in the eyes of the algorithm? I sure as hell would never vote for him.

Well I still had the results window open so I took a closer look. I was a little surprised at how many questions we either gave the same answer to, or were at least in the same hemisphere on. Scares me that the big swath of moderates who might vote for safety over freedom might find his opinions resonate with them.

The Washington Post's 2020 Democrat Candidate quiz is almost the reverse of isidewith for me: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...grees-with-me/

    (Bloomberg came first, Gabbard last)

Edit: Another site put Trump just barely ahead of Biden. Both are equally unpalatable to me...
