    I could go either way. (insert joke here)

    I grew up on the hump, carried the hump as a duty gun, etc. Then I fell ass backward into a deal on a vertec, and I really like it. Does not mean i cant still rock the full grip, but i think the vertec would have helped agencies adopt and or stick with the 92 series easier. Too many different sized employees to say one grip fits all hands... Beretta was just about 10 years late to the party in introducing it. But the time it hit, plastic guns had stormed the market.

    If I had to grab a hammer fired gun today to carry and fight with, it would be my 92 Vertec with G conversion.

    Olong they look that way but actually are not. I grabbed the M9A3 and measured the g10 wrap grips and then pulled a bunch of other grips out of the bin and measured them all on that pistol. Here they are in order thinnest to thicker.
    LTT = 1.300
    M9A3 standard plastic = 1.300
    B92 stock plastic = 1.360
    M9A3 G10 wrap = 1.405
    M9A3 rubber wrap = 1.420
    Here you can see how much material is added to the back of the Vertec grip by the G10 wrap grip.

    Since I had the caliper in my hand I thought to measure my favorite grips, the StonerCNC Super Agressives.

    I was somewhat surprised they are 1.350

    I’ve actually never held a Vertec either. The closest I’ve tried were the small grips offered for the 90-two & the smallest backstraps for the PX4 & APX. But if I found a deal on a 96 Vertec, my mind could be changed.

    Even with hands on the smaller side I prefer the traditional 92 grip and find the standard (?) grips that come on my Brig Tac to be perfect. I find that the LTT ultra thin grips are just a tad too thin in the middle to give me great palm traction on my support hand. I still shoot the gun fine but prefer just a little more surface contact.

    The vertec grip just feels "off" to me after so many years of using the standard 92 grip. OMMV.

    Size medium mechanix glove. I strongly prefer the standard 92 frame with thin grips. Both my 92s have standard frames and LTT grips. For me it points better and feels comfortable. I also like that it keeps my hands higher than a vertec.

    I prefer the Vertec frame to the traditional frame. I have big hands but like my grips a bit smaller.

    Medium, moderately skinny hands. Prefer the hump. Held a 92X Centurion a while back, and really like the new texture they put on the plastic stock grips. Would make me open to a Vertec if their new conversion grips also have a similar texture. Wonder if they'll make that texture grip for classic 92 frames?

    The hump any day. If I wanted a straight backstrap I would carry my LBCC.

    Hump for me. I have average to small hands.
