    Whereas Aggravated Assault (F3, 5 years) is a chip shot for the SA. Five years in FL DOC is no joke, especially for this clown.
    I don’t know about being a dick but you are being obtuse. If you went to look up the definition then you know that unlike international terrorism there is no domestic terrorism statute. Domestic terrorism incidents are all charged via the state or federal crimes related to the incident. The distinction is that the use of force or violence to intimidate or coerce a government, a civilian population or a social group Has a far greater destabilizing affect on society then a random crime of violence.

    In my experience, across a couple states, state charges are more likely to result in five years probation or a five year suspended sentence than five years state prison. Particularly for a first offense with no injury or death in an urban area.

    In this instance since it involved a voter registration drive it also a civil rights offense under Title 18, U.S. Code section 245, Federally Protected Activities:

    1) This statute prohibits willful injury, intimidation, or interference, or attempt to do so, by force or threat of force of any person or class of persons because of their activity as:

    A voter, or person qualifying to vote...;
    a participant in any benefit, service, privilege, program, facility, or activity provided or administered by the United States;
    an applicant for federal employment or an employee by the federal government;
    a juror or prospective juror in federal court; and
    a participant in any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
    2) Prohibits willful injury, intimidation, or interference or attempt to do so, by force or threat of force of any person because of race, color, religion, or national origin and because of his/her activity as:

    A student or applicant for admission to any public school or public college;
    a participant in any benefit, service, privilege, program, facility, or activity provided or administered by a state or local government;
    an applicant for private or state employment, private or state employee; a member or applicant for membership in any labor organization or hiring hall; or an applicant for employment through any employment agency, labor organization or hiring hall;
    a juror or prospective juror in state court;
    a traveler or user of any facility of interstate commerce or common carrier; or
    a patron of any public accommodation, including hotels, motels, restaurants, lunchrooms, bars, gas stations, theaters...or any other establishment which serves the public and which is principally engaged in selling food or beverages for consumption on the premises.
    3) Prohibits interference by force or threat of force against any person because he/she is or has been, or in order to intimidate such person or any other person or class of persons from participating or affording others the opportunity or protection to so participate, or lawfully aiding or encouraging other persons to participate in any of the benefits or activities listed in items (1) and (2), above without discrimination as to race, color, religion, or national origin.

    Punishment varies from a fine or imprisonment of up to one year, or both, and if bodily injury results or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire shall be fined or imprisoned up to ten years or both, and if death results or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be subject to imprisonment for any term of years or for life or may be sentenced to death.

    New Hampshire man arrested after allegedly assaulting pro-Trump teen at polling site

    EXCLUSIVE: A New Hampshire man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old Trump supporter and two adults at a polling site during the state’s first-in-the-nation primary earlier this week.
    Police said the incident happened Tuesday as Bradley exited the voting location inside the high school and was walking by a Trump campaign tent occupied by several supporters. As he passed by the tent, police said, Bradley slapped a 15-year old juvenile across the face and then assaulted two other adults who attempted to intercede.

    Bradley is also accused of throwing Trump campaign signs and attempting to knock over the campaign tent, police said.

    Concerning, but hardly surprising.

    Sounds like someone's civil rights were violated. FBI should investigate for at least 6 months.

    Then he can be tried, found guilty and Trump can tweet some objection after the federal prosecutors recommend a sentence.

    Sounds like a plan.
    In the P-F basket of deplorables.

    Violence against Trump supporters is way more commonplace than most people realize.

    Personal anecdote, I was once standing in line wearing a red Cincinnati Reds hat when some teen idiot, who had to weigh at least 40lbs and several inches less than me, got triggered and started fussing until he seen the front of the hat. Until he realized his mistake that kid was genuinely PISSED. How many snowflakes like him are out walking around everyday with little emotional control?

    People are crazy...

    Seems to be a trend and I see it accelerating as we get closer to the 2020 election.

    Startling threats and violence against GOP voters: Part of a pattern?

    The article mentions other incidents at UC Santa Cruz and in Kentucky as well.
