I know John! I met him at the Shivworks EWO class last month. Heck of a nice guy, and very talented instructor. He was a fellow student in the class, and I learned a great deal from him.

Super guy, and very good to learn from.

Sounds like a great class. Too bad I moved from the area. Bandera is a nice club.

Couple of things - you folks in TX know this - bring sun screen. I've seen guest instructors from the pale north become human lobsters! I took a class from KRtraining and missed around my wrist and had a band of red pain a few months ago. I like a cap with a flap in the back to keep the sun of my neck. Keeps rounds from going down there.

Also, there are two regular toilets, men and women's for those (perhaps female) who shy away from the unisex portables. There weren't portables when last I shot there in October. Chairs are a good idea,

Lots of water and drinks. Now, Tim always had donuts before a match. Those are recommended as custom. After the match go to OST for dinner if you want to hang out and unwind.

Also, Bandera is cool when they have their cowboy parade with the folks toting SAAs and riding longhorn moo cows town the street. I used to live near !6 so it was a nice ride to the club. One of my last matches there, I shot a couple of J frames - a 38 and a 32 to burn ammo before we moved. That was a hoot.

"The terminal learning objective was to give students that carry a concealed firearm for self-defense the physical skills necessary to establish physical controls on possible violent criminal actors, allow students to target discriminate, while also having the ability to escalate and deescalate force as needed."
