Wish we would know what happened originally. I expect to hear about this tomorrow.
Only hope the cashier doesn't lose her eye, as that looked like what she was protecting/covering.
I'm currently penning an op/ed arguing that the beatdown man's gunshots were really just a cry for help. Think the Gaston Gazette'll publish it?
Hain’t we got all the fools in town on our side? And ain’t that a big enough majority in any town?
Easy!
(1) Don't be at the damn Gas'n'Go at 2:40 AM.
(2) I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that everybody pretty much knows that that part of W. Franklin is a shithole.
(3) When you walk up on a location to find a bunch of Street Folk--whatever their race, you can tell by the dress and talk--and a somewhat festive atmosphere, that's called "get the fuck out of Dodge" time.
Seriously. These guys aren't busing themselves around to do this stuff. There's a mall at the nearest "city" to here that's pretty much infamous for this bullshit. I don't go there, because unlike the morons who are surprised to be getting the shit kicked out of them every time it happens, I pay attention and know how to use the internet to dodge an 8% sales tax while simultaneously lowering my ammunition bill.
Oh, her? She's fucked. Poor people that want to live straight lives always are.
When the mob is made up of minority youths, one can not criticize. Having worked 16 years in the inner city, I learned that very soon. I have catalogued every denial and every excuse for non compliant behavior. Recently while in a high crime area and in a place of business where I am a friend and upon leaving the store, immediately I saw that 5 young men were sitting in the bed of my truck. This was a ruse for me to call police with the kids' intent to convert this situation into a media event. Instead I called a former trusty that I had befriended years ago. We traded vehicles, and I left. I elected not be a witness. He and they were both minority persons. He took care of the situation. Why was I in that part of town? To shop. It's my town too.
