Sorta around sometimes for some of your shitty mod needs.
Do elephants get cold? I bet they're cold.
"Sapiens dicit: 'Ignoscere divinum est, sed noli pretium plenum pro pizza sero allata solvere.'" - Michelangelo
"Peanuts...someone said there'd be peanuts...and all I see are beets!"
There's nothing civil about this war.
Yes, they definitely get cold.
That's probably why somewhere down the line of elephants there was a single mutation that resulted in long hair and increased cold-temperature preference (but likely less thermal tolerance) in Woolly Mammoths.
Not as much as you and...

Also, maybe it's my inner tree hugger, but I always get sad when I see elephants associated with circuses or shows. They are such majestic and beautiful creatures and I'm really not into them being used for entertainment. But for that matter, I'm not really into the same for horses or dogs, other animals, or even humans (when it's against their will, if you're consenting it's fine).
I don't mind seeing the animals at the zoo, but that's because I've worked with zoos and recognize how dedicated they are to improving the quality of life and fate of animals.
But I just can't reconcile the sadness in the body language and eyes of elephants with anything besides a desire to see them left alone.
