Defense loads recommendation for .32 H&R Magnum

A few years back I water tested (Fackler style) most every .32 H&R mag load out there from a J frame 2 inch revolver. Critical defense loads included.

    None showed the slightest expansion.

Presently I use the Buffalo Bore 100 gr. full wadcutter load (approx 1000 fps) for my wife's low recoil load in a .327 Federal SP 101 or the J frame. Very light recoil indeed. What might be a better choice out there these days? I'm actually pretty pleased with the BB load but I'm open to recommendations, particularly for the J frame.Name: IMG_0102.jpg

Very limited selection tested from 2" and 4" barrels into clear gel at Lucky Gunner:

If it hits to point of aim, Hornady Critical Defense looks quite good. Not as good but still reasonably consistent penetration from Black Hills 85 grain JHP so I'd also grab a box to quickly see if it regulates to the sights better than the Hornady. Would personally give up a bit of interior ballistics to have a bullet go where I wanted it in the first place if I had to choose.

Looks like the Buffalo Bore 100gr +P might be a safe bet.

That does look like a good choice for the SP 101. The J frame is REALLY light though, I'll check it out. Thanks.
