It takes 5 days of infection on average before the virus cause symptoms. It's not clear how long the virus is contagious for at this time, to my knowledge. but I'd assume to be safe at least a week. Total guess so dont take it as gospel

Lol, anyone else read the story about how the Chinese gov is trying to smear the US over covid19? Its on fox news. Nothing of import, just the hilarious comments from chinese state telling the US to be transparent about infection data... was worth a good laugh.

Saw that on the PCA web site. Heck if the world hasn’t come to an end by then, we might go to Sebring for that.

    Update on MLB:

    Canceled Spring Training
Opening Day delayed at least two weeks.

    Sorry @blues

    Update: NFL

NFL has canceled annual spring meeting.

Of course it's off season for NFL - so they may not be delayed, but we do not know.

eta: I have a trip to Australia coming up on tuesday. I FEEL like it's not any more dangerous than where I live. The hospital five minuted from my apartment has two confirmed cases, and many of the nurses live in my building
I doubt the destination will pose the largest threat. My guess is that the most potentially infectious (with any bug) part of the journey would be standing in the lines going through passport control/customs when you re-enter the USA. Unless some changes are being made to that process both Atlanta-Hartsfield and JFK are giant musters of human cattle from all int'l flights arriving around that time from various points on the globe. I don't imagine any other international airport customs areas being much different.

Tit for tat for Trump, et al claiming that Covid-19 is some sort of foreign viral invasion.

I don't know how long the trip is. I wouldn't be concerned being there but the logistics of getting back home.

As things start to ramp up I start to think about questions - flight availability, quarantine time when arriving back in the US, quarantine centers?

Are you a vector to Australia?

    Sorry for being a dick.

Community Transmission of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, Shenzhen, China, 2020

Apparently the infection rate for children is as high as adults, but at least in China few children developed the disease, and a minuscule % died.
But they did transmit and spread the virus, and the elderly living with them pay the price.

Again, I would take China's statistics wiht a grain of salt...
