Well thats a pretty damning statement, or accusation.
Would this usually result in revocation right away, or some sort of censorship and "probationary" period first?

Oh, golly, imagine that, quarantine measures saved lives by keeping the number of infected people from overwhelming the medical system....IT'S OBVIOUSLY A HOAX!

Maybe you have a point. Perhaps we should quarantine for Flu as well so we can get those mortality numbers down to COVID-19 levels. Chanting and dancing for rain were proven methods pre-meteorology. I danced and it rained so that proves correlation right? What can it hurt?

Good question. It would be up to the specific entity(ies) involved.

I should have pointed out that actual board certification is done by a completely different entity, the American Board of Emergency Medicine. The agencies which issued the joint statement are the large physician societies.

But usually yes, they have a graded response to things like this.

I’ve just never seen a group of MD’s just come right out and say that one of their members has put their own interests above those of their patients. Usually it’s something more along the line of; “we disagree with their opinion” or “we think they are looking at flawed data or used the wrong analytical tools for the situation”

The specific language they used was quite strong and quite specific, and in general would only be used in situations where a doctor is being heavily disciplined.
