In that, now in 2020, Democratic voters have had their fill of being managed by the Democratic Party elites on the left and right coast, and are saying a big "FU" to the Democratic National Committee by voting for Bernie? (much the same way that voters were characterized as "throwing a Molotov Cocktail" in 2016 by supporting Trump against the establishment?
That thought has some merit. Sanders is a backlash (or possibly whiplash if you're a boomer) candidate just like Trump was. I think Trump actually likes the guy. He congratulated him on the win in NV. Or maybe he just can't wait to run against him now that Biden was hit by the dem bus.

I really think Trump and everyone else is really underestimating Crazie Bernie.

I keep hearing people say that moderate dems wont vote for him yet nearly every moderate I know has said they will. I even know a few former Trump voters who have told me they will vote for Bernie.

I dislike Bernie but underestimating him is a mistake.

Bernie has the advantage of appealing both to the young, and those who grew up in the sixties and seventies during the "counterculture" when such a political POV was prevalent. That might be enough momentum to propel him further than his perspective alone would ordinarily.
There's nothing civil about this war.

I think he's a contender. Doesn't mean I'll be voting for Crazy Old Bernie tho.

"Screwed by Hilary/the whole party establishment " is a pretty compelling narrative.

Bloomberg has only helped with that one.

Bloomberg's strategy seems to be to go after Bernie's record on guns.

I doubt it will bring him back from "they only sued me...over jokes I made..."

Weinstein going down seems like a bad harbinger for poor, poor Bloomberg. 🤣

Are you referring to the GI Bill?

Socialism=when government seizes/controls the means of production.

When did this get confused with government spending on social programs, and public works projects?

Well, to the best of my knowledge the GI Bill is still a continuing program. My service was during 2008-2013 and while I was grandfathered into the Montgomery GI Bill, I was given a choice to upgrade to the Post-9/11, which was a better deal because I was able receive BAH while going to school instead of receiving a lower fixed amount.

It has been recently updated a few years to remove previous constraints in order to increase eligibility.

It's a deliberate obfuscation on the part of Bernie and others, a shell game, the political version of the Chewbacca Defense.

If you can dazzle the dupes with this kind of bullshite, and get them to equate social programs with socialism, then you can make the scam work.
