Then what would you call him taking 340,000 troops in 2016 and consolidating them into a new agency directly under his control?

He reformed the organizational structure to make it more efficient to carry out his goals, especially when those goals conflict with the goals of the Duma or constitutional limitations of the military.

You usually can't drop the Montoya meme on somebodies first use of a word, either. You know, "you keep using that word".....

They're both very anti-Semitic. It's just that Soviet Russia tossed all the other groups into camps with the Jews, and China doesn't really have a Jewish population to oppress.
If China had a sizeable Jewish minority, they'd be in camps along with the Uyghurs.

The Nazi put Jews into camps, the Communists did the same to the certain classes. The same method (Imprisonment based on assumed collective guilt) , different criteria. BTW this is where the identity politics always lead.

And to think of all that the Jews did for the cuisine of the Chinese...not to mention borscht. It's fakakta.

In China, one might suggest that you tell that to the Uighurs.

You're right it's not quite the same without mass expulsion and extermination.

In this case, in exchange for their territory, Uyghurs will be assimilated into the Chinese.
