    It seemed like everyone was pushing a 5.7 platform in either a pistol or carbine.

    Beretta Booth. The Langdon 92 series. I handled the 92X as well, an older platform modernized with customized work. Very cool pistol.

    Instead of SWAT getting $2k peacock feathers, spend that money running every patrol officer through ECQC.

    Mostly training and mindset.

    @HopetonBrown clearly doesn’t “get” cops.

    To quote the late LT Francis McGee of the NYPD Range, “The average cop would rather have a nice Parker pen than a custom pistol.”

    Fact - there’s a percentage of patrol /line agents who are all about advanced training. Most in the middle will do it if you pay them but with bitch about it and do everything half speed and the bottom percentage will file HR complaints about being injured in “excessive” training because they got a scrape or bruise.

    It has a battery, it's just not user-replaceable. It's recharged by the solar cell to power the diode when there's not enough ambient light.

    When I talked to them, they said it was actually a long life solar powered capacitor.

    A similar system is employed by the Citizen Eco Drive watch.

    Got this pic yesterday at SHOT of the General Dynamics NGSW entrant.

    ARX160 is 35.4" OAL w/ 16" barrel.

    GD Bullpup is several inches shorter (31-32") w/ 20" barrel + suppressor. Thats really impressive.

    Cool. Didn't know capacitors could be made to release their energy slowly.
