My issue with it is that it appears to remove all BUIS except maybe some fixed thingy on the back of the plate.
Pistol red dots still go down. (Hi GJM.)
I want adjustable and decent BUIS, because when the dot breaks, those become primary sights.
That's likely just the case for the ACRO plate. If you look at their website they had to do some engineering to fit a BUIS behind the ACRO. The AOS gen 1 ACRO plate looks the same. Their other plates accommodate front and rear plate-mounted BUIS for most popular dot sights.

I just hope this new one is as low or lower than the gen 1!

Thanks. I guess we'll have to wait and see. This is the product I'm most interested in at the Show (other than the VP9 OR), and the release of information on it is pitiful.

At this point I'll skip optics ready models across the board and have everything milled for ATOM 2

Finally some coverage of the DWX. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/...t-hybrid-2011/

Author says "don't quote me" so I quote him.

"A fairly cool feature of the DWX full size and compact is the fact it takes 1911 trigger components. This makes the trigger incredibly smooth and testing it out, you could definitely tell it was a 1911 trigger. The trigger had very little take-up and broke on a defined wall. I would guess the trigger pull was somewhere around the 4-pound mark but don’t quote me on that."

This is a current state of affairs at the Atom (1) webpage, showing half of the offerings, and all duty-grade optics plates, out of stock.

I had to get a spare set of their proprietary RMR plate screws, took a month or so. They make good stuff, although I would've preferred steel over aluminum, but I am uncertain they can support a significant demand. Besides the independent user reviews, I'd like to know who would make what parts under this open access license.
