I guess I’m going to have to contact C&S

I just did the white & orange nail polish treatment on my old Model 36, and.....it didn’t make much difference. It’s got the older narrow sights — narrower than the current 642 — and there’s just not much projected surface area out there when you look at the ramp angle.

After dry-firing the 36, I switched to the G42(Ameriglo CAP front, serrated black rear) and the contrast between the sight pictures was night and day.

I did this to an old Taurus. Remove part of the rear of the ramp and make the sight more straight up. I got the idea from Claude Werner.

If the only thing you don't like is the color, I'm with the guys who suggested nail polish. I also have a teenage daughter (2 of them), and many guns around here sport nail polish. It's easy to change colors till happy.

I have many to choose from : )
