They have the Redhawk in .45lc, but could they put it into the GP100 and shave off a few ounces of weight?

CDNN has the 3 inch talo.

Once upon a time I bought one box of .44 specials to try in my 629. Rather than make a habit of that I bought an identical 625 to shoot .45ACP. I don't know that I really want a .44 special per say but I do like big bore revolvers so I'm kinda on the fence with the 5-shot GP100 .44 special. If Ruger had made a Wiley Clapp model I probably would have stronger feelings about getting one.

CDNN has the Talo model listed for $650 which is dang reasonable. But I should probably get a Ruger Blackhawk since I don't own any single actions at the moment.

This thread got me looking at 25s and 625s.

I would love to get myself a 625 .45acp Mountain Gun. Considering what they go for I'll settle for my model of 1989.

I have only got the chance to fondle one of these once, might get to shoot it eventually. (uncle of a friend)

It was nice. I am too low on funds to even think about a new gun anytime soon, but if I was flush, I'd snag one of these.

You could always sell it and pick up a Smith, later, right? 😉

Even if 5 .45 LC would fit in a GP-100, can you imagine what would happen if someone put "Ruger only" loads in it?

This is also my theory why we will never see a .44Mag GP-100.

My feelings also. I wouldn't mind having a 44 spl but a 625 scratched my itch. I didn't see breaking into a whole new cartridge because I already load 45 ACP. Brass and bullets was already stacked deep for 45 ACP. It does take a special skill to load it for a revolver tho. Neck tension is important. For reloading, 44 spl is the winner but buying ammo would suck. I'm pretty much married to the 45 ACP.

Reloading just doesn't fit into my life right now but if I did reload that would probably be enough to push me over the tipping point. I don't know if 5 rounds of .45 ACP would quite fit in a GP100 but that would be cool. Or maybe a .45 3" LCRx.
