They are both regular, or should be. But both were gifts so I can't be 100%

Anyone try the "Free Flight" belt?

I've been intrigued by Gene's belts for years. They look great and I like the infinite adjustability. But the Aegis is 1.5" wide and I prefer 1.25 inch width for dress belts. And I don't need a belt that's 1/4" thick most days. For now I'm still using an old Bianchi and a Beltman, both 1.25" wide.

Great leather, great buckle, but way to thick for me. It doesn't conform well enough to allow AIWB features to work.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Is there a leather belt out there that would be similar to the Mastermind/Graith minimalist belts? I have an Ares Aegis and Volund G Hook but both are too stiff for AIWB use.

ETA: similar in stiffness/compliance. I'd like to have a nice looking leather belt that would last longer than 12 months and hold a gun well.

There are Volund belts that aren't as stiff.

Any of the newer "workwear" fashion type belts are just fine. I've got Tanner Goods and Orion Leather belts that work great. One Star Leather is another. Orion Leather is outta business, but any single layer leather belt should be enough.

    I basically agree with that...

I bought one because I liked the idea of a leather belt (which is my without a doubt my preference) that had infinite adjustment within its size range. The workmanship and materials both looked great. However, the belt was so thick it would not fit through the loops on many of my holsters or mag carriers. Having worn leather 'gun' belts for 20+ years now the heavier weight hides used in the two layers for the belt seems unnecessary to me.

For those that have one and use one, or even if you aren't using one, can we get a "top-down" picture of it being worn so we can see the thickness of the belt being worn. Possibly an odd request but I'm someone that is more visual when trying to see if things work and if it's too thick or appearance is "too much".

I have a Hank's belt that more or less matches that description. It lacks the stiffness of most other gun belts, but makes for a high quality dress belt that - while it generally gets set aside in favor of a reinforced belt when carrying - is capable of the job. I work 5 days a week in an NPE, wear this almost daily, and it'll take a few decades before I manage to wear it out.

There's a decent pic along those lines in this article on it...
