    I'm ignorant about rifle scopes. Isn't a 24mm objective small for 10X zoom? What kind of compromises can we expect from that?

    Yes but it lists the objective as 24mm. Some scopes use a smaller objective lense inside a bigger tube. Or it could be a typo.

    A little small, it may affect field of view at 10x but it is certainly doable. NF 2.5-10 also uses a 24mm objective if I recall correctly.

    The tube diameter does indeed tell you nothing about the light collecting capabilities of the optic. Vortex going from a 30 to a 34 mm tube here only provides one thing and that is an increased amount of vertical dialing capability for further maximum range use.

    Vortex has confirmed this optic is real in another forum. 24mm objective lenses is correct.
