    Sgt Major John Padgett, 8/28/1930 - 1/3/2020

John went home today about 1:00 pm CST.

In 1945, John lied about his age and joined the Army, serving in the occupation of Germany.

He went on to serve 27 years in the 101st Airborne, including deployments in the Korean War and two tours of Vietnam.

He spent the last seven years with his lovely daughter Karla, who I’m proud to call my wife. He passed at home surrounded by family.

Thank you, John, for your service, blessing my home with your presence during your final years, and, most of all, for your awesome daughter.

Yes, so far as my wife and her parents (I definitely got the pick of the litter out of his three daughters).

Her six siblings, their spouses & offspring are what you might call a mixed blessing🤪
