Sir, who do we like for 1/8 twist .308 bbls?

I'll just sit over here in the corner with my H&K MR762 that has been a Teutonic sewing machine.

Your original post stated spare parts availability is a must. That rifle has proprietary parts and spare parts are not readily available. Unless their policy has changed, you break something and the rifle has to go back to DD for repair.

As in years past, I have been interested in a lighter weight .308 semi-auto, for hunting in areas where things might hunt you. I just took delivery of a new SR-25. It is the ACC with a light taper, chrome lined 16 inch barrel. He was the test target:

I pulled a Kahles 1-6 off another AR and plopped it on. I set up at 50 yards, and quickly got a rough zero with 150 AE ball. Shot one group at 50 with Federal 175 match, adjusted the scope, and shot one group at 100 yards. Shows promise:

Sure did. I didn’t have bags or anything else along, and figured the bipod would be better than mono-poding off the magazine.

I have been planning to get one and that helps my decision. My buddy has one and I am going to send him this as inspiration

I have 3 of them on AR’s where the weight savings is premium to me. They work well for my intended uses.
