That's the thing isn't it? It has been advertised as being much more reliable than its predecessor which would have made the whole "OMG! New Colt Python!" entirely worthwhile. But with the early troubles, and then Covid, we don't get to know.
So I, like you, am looking at the Match Champion with more interest than I would otherwise had, but that snake gun just keeps taking a lot of room in my head.

The match champion is an eminently practical and useful .357 revolver. It ain't a work of industrial art. The Python is.

I imagine there is some danger in that. For example, I have a 696 that was sent to a writer so he could write a review on it. He liked it enough to keep it.
