CA ammo background checks stopped 62,000 lawful buyers (and 101 criminals)

1 in 5 lawful gun owners fail the background check, usually because their address is not current in the state's database. For all the hassle, only 101 purchases by prohibited persons have been declined:

....so, mission accomplished then. If owning a gun is a PITA , voters will pick different hobbies.

Sounds like the law had an 80% failure rate. I'm sure California will have to implement further legislation to get that closer to 5 out of 5.

Oh, it's coming. Self-anointed king Gavin Newsom signed every anti-gun bill put on his desk earlier this year including several that were vetoed before by the former anti-gun governor of California. I'm sure they are coming up with some new ways to severely restrict law-abiding citizens from buying ammo and guns.
