I think it was Car and Driver that said it looked like "a nerd's shoe."

The Z4M was soooo much better a car.

Also, on the Z3 coupe, you basically have to disassemble the entire rear of the interior to get to the upper shock mount fasteners. Something that should be possible from underneath the car by removing: the bolts you're removing. I wouldn't own one.

they appear to agree with you. I don't care, I can't stand the looks of the Z4, total bitchmobile. I love the uglieness of the Z3 coupe.

Does the above offend? If you have paid to be here, you can click here to put it in context.

    Always loved those cars.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

In that price range or a nudge higher, you can find a decent 300ZX, 350Z, '96-99 Mustang Cobra, or a 05-09ish Mustang GT. Any of which would have a good bit more under the throttle than a Miata, while having better chassis design and newer features vs the C4.
Strangely, the 'cool car' market seems to be moving upward across the board. It's getting harder to find anything that doesn't suck or isn't a total basket case for less than $10k.

I drove mine to work this morning.
    I love it, too.
The Z4 roadster doesn’t really appeal to me visually, but the Coupe is completely different.
    And it’s very much a driver’s car.

The Z4M coupe is a special car. It's one of the very few BMW's I could see myself buying if the deal was right - and I basically hate BMW's.
The others being an E36 M3, 1M, or an 850CSi.
All with manual transmissions of course.

Right now I'm talking myself out of an SN95 Mustang Cobra that I found locally for $5500 OBO. Only modifications are BBK headers and 3.73's, same owner for a LONG time.

Salvage title? Seems too good to be true...

Clean title, and allegedly the same local owner since purchased used from a local Ford dealership in 1996. But it's got 165k miles on it, and the rio red paint is fading and it has the usual SN95 interior problems.

Fairly irresponsible for me to even consider it, but I'm incorrigible!

Go to the garage and try to do something with the cars you have. The urge to get more will dissipate quickly.
