I just bought this running 32,000 lb machine for the price of a new mid-grade riflescope. Not really a hot-rod, but how many times on P-F or anywhere else do you see a forklift with factory dual exhaust and a big-block GMC V6?

PS - The history and study of the GMC (not Chevrolet) big-block V6's, V8, and V12 (twin six) have made for some pretty interesting side reading for a couple evenings recently...their longevity apparently approaches that of modern-day OTR diesels while offering some pretty dismal fuel mileage as the tradeoff. I'm pretty sure they were made from 1960-74, and the last few years may have only been industrial offerings like what's in my forklift, which is probably the small 305 cubic inch version.

Really good motors for that application not the most fuel efficient but good power. If you can I would pull the oil pan just to take a look see.

I've got a new job involving the rebuild of 20' boxes which are based on seacans although they're not seacans. One of my customers has a rail yard and I'll be doing the work there, using this forklift to move and position the boxes as I repair them. He has a big Liebherr Reach Stacker, and said I could borrow it, but I don't want to be using his 3/4-million dollar oversized telehandler if I don't have to....that thing has more electronics than the space shuttle and takes a 50 acre field to turn around in.

Heck, I probably paid less for my forklift than one handrail on that monster would cost.

If you repaint that beast of a forklift, you should paint it P-F Orange

I've come to the conclusion that the 2024 has some design cues from my favorite Mustang, the '71 Mach 1, and as such have decided to like it.

    The 1976 Mustang II "Mach 1" 2.8L V6 exists, and you're talking smack about a '71?

My uncle has a 71 Mach one I work on. And a boss 302 in blue and black. Got to run the boss around limerock on a classic day. That was fun.
