    Took the plunge, 1301T in-hand

Any tips or tricks I should know? Yes, Chandler’s course will be taken again.

    Thanks!

    1. Order a couple of Vang Comp shell cards and some industrial strength velcro, or the Adridus Industries QDC.

    2. If you want to mount a dot on the gun, get the Aridus CROM.

    3. While the 1301T is good to go right from the box, after working with the Magpul SGA on my gun I greatly prefer it. Aridus has the kit for that modification.

    4. Zero it with the load you plan to use in the gun. (8 pellet FFC works great in 1301s) If your primary munition is going to be buckshot, zero with that. Then find a slug that shoots to the same POA.

    5. A light would be a good idea. You can use a Streamlight 870 mount to mount either an X300 or a more conventional style of flashlight along with something like a VTAC light mount. Alternately you can get the Aridus kit to put the Magpul Zhukov forend on the gun and use the MLOK attachment points to mount something that way.

    6. And, naturally, a quality course to help you learn to use it most efficiently. Luckily I know a guy...
