Someone familiar with this incident, please describe what is missing from the article.

Is this manufactured rage porn, or is this actually happening?

A quick google search shows it's happening.

Sounds like the "you can indict a a ham sandwich if you wanted to" concept at work in the GJ setting.

The only additional thing I could find in the media is he supposedly fired 60+ shots and another officer also fired shots. Nothing indicated the other officer is also being charged, but also doesn't say if he's been reviewed by the same grand jury or not. Maybe they made hay with that in front of the grand jury and tried to claim he kept shooting after the threat was over? Lots of 'maybes' on this but it appears to be a legit news story.

I'm wondering if it is an issue with shooting while driving and/or the round count.

While the OHP SWAT shooting through the windshield while driving OIS a few years back and a similar ABQ/Bernalilo Co OIS were clearly reasonable and justified given the totality of the circumstances, I am wondering how the public is perceiving "through windshields while driving shootings with rounds going who knows where" when seen on video.

Oklahoma seems to charge officers with murder more often than you would expect.

I sincerely hope this particular case gets laughed out of court.

This kind of crap happens and then people wonder why PD's across the country are struggling with recruiting and retention.

Don't forget that recent one with Las Vegas, NV PD, with an Officer shooting his Glock through the windshield during a vehicle pursuit.

I mentioned the two I believe are reasonable. Based on what I know at this time I cannot support the LVMPD shooting out the windshield you mentioned nor can I support the one in Anaheim within the last year or so.

There's nowhere near enough information currently to consider opining on the one that started this thread.
