Watched the whole thing, I really like to listen to him talk. I wish that I could take one of his classes.

    March 1981:

My first every training class for anything to do with a firearm.

I went to Gunsite for an API 250 class.

In those days the classes lasted a full 5 1/2 days.

I had two instructors: Jeff Cooper and Clint Smith.

One of the single most awesome weeks I have ever spent in my life.

I was completely dumbstruck at my good fortune to be able to attend that class and have been back to Gunsite (and other places) for several other classes over the years.

But now, 38 1/2 years later, I am even more dumbstruck when I realize that I had those two legends as instructors so many years ago. It was like catching lightning in a bottle on my first attempt!

Clint Smith bought Rubber Soul as his first album.

Coincidence that Rubber Soul is one of my favorite albums of all time? Absolutely.

Does it matter that it is a coincidence? Fuck no.

1911s, revolvers, leather holsters, Rubber Soul - there isn’t much Clint and I don’t agree on.

    And Glocks and kydex holsters.

    Clint is a hoot.
In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

Yeah I don’t know if it’s the mics or audio or what. Sounds a little rough. Can prob still kick my ass though.
