What texture is preferred for VZ grips?

It's for a j frame and would be touching skin. I like my Ahrends but it seems I'm allergic to wood. Is 320 just a bit rougher?

I find the 320 soft enough for my baby belly skin but grabby enough that I don’t find my hand slipping under recoil.

I prefer the 320s for hard kickers, the Tactical Diamonds are a little rough, but I do use the Tactical Diamonds on K frames and Colt Ds. Tactical Diamonds against soft skin all day would be an Ouchie,
