    $25 tax per gun.
2 cents per round .22 or below and 5 cents per round above .22.
    That's $50 per 1000 box of 9mm.

For those who buy .22 rounds in 5000 box, that's $100 more, more than 50%.

Hope other places don't follow it.

Didn't really matter, there wasn't anyplace in the city to buy any of that stuff anyway.

This should solve the gang banker problem in Tacoma.

Just drive down the road a few miles to the Cabelas store in Lacey.

    Problem solved.

I think the tax is still there and the gunshops are gone.

Seems like taxing other constitutional rights might be in order: $0.01 per word spoken during any politically motivated activity. $5.00 per hour to attend any religious service. Hmm. What else can we tax?

Taxes is a thing around here. City of Seattle wanted to tax the heavy hitters like Amazon and Microsoft to help the city pay for the homeless problem.

I guess they don't have any solutions other than just housing them, giving them a place to use drugs and feeding them.

A lot of them have moved out of the city. Saw a bunch today on the street 50 miles north of Seattle.

What's happened to the PacNW since I left in 2011 is quite sad.

Well, yes and no. Business is booming, there is a ton of exciting new development. The food and beer scene is the best anywhere. I'll take hipsters to hippies any day.

The homeless problem is bad, but not nearly as bad as California, and lots of people are getting sick of it. In Portland we now have sweeps to get campers out of the city center, and there are now giant boulder fields in areas where homeless used to camp.

Taxes are bad, and at least in Portland, people keep voting for them.

The new gun laws in WA are really bad, and we are threatened with some horrible ones in OR.

So... good and bad, just like anyplace.

It has nothing to do with “violence prevention.” It's about "cultural cleansing" and making the country even more divided.
More socialist control. Socialist forcing what they want.

I wish it were as bad as everyone says it is. People would stop moving here. Or if they moved here they would soon leave.

Everyone on the west coast is in for some more gun control. Probably some Rocky mountain states also. It's all turning blue just like the east coast.
