Virginia, soon to be known as South Maryland. That is not a joke, but a lamentation, from one living in Texas, which is rapidly becoming East California.
    Retar’d LE. Kinesthetic dufus.

    Don’t tread on volcanos!

CA done shat the nest, they have to move somewhere.

Y'all have power there in TX, cheap gas and Neiman Marcus.

While on one level I agree with you, who wants to be the crash test dummy? Get thrown in jail, assets seized and be broken at the end because the process is punishment? I certainly couldn't afford to fight the state. I think the best hope here for VA is that the newly elected govt. goes for the whole gun control enchilada at once, which is what they have been promising. That will spark the population into action of some sort. If they go for an incremental approach, they will win.

My state is next, I see it daily with the influx of idiots fleeing the NE hellholes they voted themselves into, only to scream (and vote) for the same shit here. Every major city here is a heavily left leaning dump, and getting worse daily. Given the chance, I'd leave in a heartbeat as much as my roots run deep here and I love the land. Socialists are truly locusts in human form. But as you point out, we are running out of places to go.

They'll have to build a wall through the middle of Bristol so that people won't flout the Law.

They’re eyeing WV next. Many DC’ers are buying summer homes in the mountains.

So, no kidding at all, one of the first things I thought was, "Why would VA want to import the same foolishness as Maryland et. al. where the whole gun control thing has worked so well?!?"

How on board are your Sheriff's Offices with leftist gun control? It may be an interesting confluence of no LE support for the impending legislation combined with massive refusal to comply and relevant 2nd Amendment litigation against any legislation. I think a loud ugly crowd in their faces may be more effective than nice at this point. Use the Left's tactics against the Left.

One problem with the right is that there's no training program to teach those tactics. Conservatives tend to think the battle of ideas is about battling ideas. A good article from yesterday's Federalist on this: https://thefederalist.com/2019/11/05...lege-campuses/

The training may be more innate than we want to acknowledge. There is a great book out there by a guy named Alinsky. Trump seems to use their playbook quite a bit.

In SW and rural areas not at all. I live fairly close to the border and take frequent drives up there just for sightseeing. The mountains are beautiful and the blue ridge parkway is awesome. It is pretty right leaning. As in Confederate battle flags flown in front yards all over the place. Those folks are in low population density areas and are going to get steamrolled by the urban areas
