I'm a nurse in a psych hospital. I came to nursing recently and I have a background in Marine Corps infantry and commercial fishing. I've always had really good teams.
1/3 were rockstars in Fallujah.
Working with my skipper for a decade really taught me a lot.
And my current team of nurses and staff that I rely on really do a good job. I've been charge pretty much all the time, even over more experienced nurses and I've gotten pretty stressed over our chaos but we manage.
Yeah, there's always a few that really make me want to put my head through a wall but really, I am so lucky to have such a great team.
We had 8 restraints tonight on my unit with more next door that we responded to. No patients were hurt, no staff were injured. A big patient got a few hits to my head but really didn't do any damage.
Everyone did a really good job managing chaos tonight.
I can't say everyone left with a smile but I gave lots of high fives and hugs and everyone seemed in good space.
Good job guys.
