    Brownells has Sabre uppers...?

Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Love my Sabre barrel.

I have had a 1:8 16" stainless midlength Sabre barrel on my carbine since 2008, and am super happy with the performance both in accuracy and reliability.

Boy, I remember when these were the latest hotness over on arfcom... I was sorta new into the hobby at the time with limited experience but if you could boast a Sabre Defence in your arsenal it meant instant status elevation. They've been gone so long now I don't even remember why they were so vaunted.

    1. They had great barrels (4150 CMV)
    2. Colt wasn't readily available back then and had some weirdness leftover from the AWB
    3. DD& BCM weren't yet what they are now
    4. Mid-length 16" barrels

    Sabre made good AR stuff.

    Cool Thundercat logo too.

There's a company named Red X Arms who claims they purchased the assets of Sabre Defense at some point and has uppers available. No idea if they have original Sabre parts or parts from one of the companies that have flown the Sabre Defense flag since the original went bankrupt.
