Specifically the Ketchum/Hailey area. We spent a bit of time there this summer and really enjoyed Ketchum. The state seems very gun friendly and taxes don't appear to be bad. Any information on living in Idaho appreciated, pros and cons.

This is a little bit dated, but still relevant I suspect ....

The path of least resistance will seldom get you where you need to be.
Native spud here. Definitely gun friendly as there are multiple gun companies here in Idaho and taxes aren't bad compared to other places both state and land. You want outdoors? Plenty of that. Want to visit the coast? Just a short 8 hour or so drive to Oregon. Canada? You can drive and go lookin aboot. If you have any other questions or looking for specifics, shoot me a PM.
