Portuguese Army Adopts Custom Coyote Variant of Glock 17 Gen5

The Portuguese military selected the G17 Gen5 in a custom coyote color for its duty weapon. The reversible magazine catch and ambidextrous slide stop lever offer flexibility to meet the needs of both left- and right-handed shooters. The G17 Gen5 also features the Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) for increased accuracy and precision. A lanyard loop, the Gen5 enhanced trigger system, front serrations and Glock night sights round out the features.

Glock says there are no plans to release coyote variation of the G17 Gen5 pistol to the commercial market.

I seriously doubt Glock USA will pass up a chance to offer a FDE 17.5 once a distributor waves enough money at them.

I bet they'll do silver slides first. Then right after everyone buys the silver ones, they'll release the brown ones.

Officially tne Walther P38/P1. They have been supplementing these piecemeal with a variety of handguns including HKUSP’s,Walther P 99’s and some Beretta PX 4 storms.

Their army is only 35,000 strong. They will be replacing their domestically produced G3’s With the FN SCAR- L. Their special ops guys have been using the 416 and G36C like everyone else, but that’s a couple hundred guys at most.

The Portuguese Marine Corps is sticking with the G3. They are upgrading them with rails new stocks and optics mounts for and points from Spuhr

I wonder if this means a few small batches of G3 kits will be coming to market.
