It wasn't really an earworm for me until my subconscious changed the lyrics to
Toss a coin to your Witcher
You Cheap Motherf**kers
You Rotten C**ksuckers
"You can't win a war with choirboys. " Mad Mike Hoare
Making it swing…
The song for me is great (Valerie, a girl I grew up with, was the only girl I ever actually saw wearing a V shaped swimsuit). Still can't believe she did.
Then the gal teaching this class, well, I worked with a gal that very much looks like her.
And a Winwood fan. Can't find my way home, way too short of a song.
So lot's of memories.
Miami PD brought this great song to my attention.
Cover version of an epic Queen song from the 80s. One of these rare cases where the cover can trump the original in a way. Since the original is from Queen, this is all the more remarkable.
60’s Japanese surf/lounge music?
This was in a blog post about a Yamaha bass from the 60’s, and in true earworm fashion it just stuck in my head…

Just watched the decade old Rush rockumentry. I could have really easily been one of those Rush fans. I have liked their singles forever, but didn't start seeking out new music: genera or groups untill 20 years ago or so.
Sabbath, Dio, Ozzie, Metallica, The Police, Rush, Staind; I wish I had explored them long, long ago.
This has been rolling around in my head all week...
My wife is a quasi-classical musician as a hobby. Music minor in college. Oboe, flute, harp, piano. Vocal: a capella, competitive barbershop. Shifting time signatures freak her out. Almost as much as four part harmony freaks me out after all these years. She is fascinated by Rush artisticallly. I mean, Geddy Lee is a screamer, singing is only really secondary.
The drums get all the love in YYZ, but the guitar and bass are just as awesome. My wife says they have to be, to allow the drums get their accolades.
I don't understand much of what I just said...
RIP Neil Peart.
