After looking up Rhiannon Giddens from the "I Miss Music Like This" thread, I got ahold of her first solo album from the public library. It contained this particular gem, recorded originally in 1961 by Patsy Cline, and written by Hank Cochran.
Ms. Giddins does it very well indeed.

Dang, that girl's got a voice! I've got the Patsy Cline version, and Giddens does it justice.

As a great amendment to Skyfall:

The movie was filmed there in Glen Coe. The music is also very beautyful.

    PS:
And one more song by Adele played on violin and piano.

    Another from Rhiannon Giddens

I'm on a tear, and this woman can flat sing.

Compare to a good live version from the original (and never yet duplicated) artist, Edith Piaf from 1954:

"If I ever needed to hunt in a tuxedo, then this would be the rifle I'd take." - okie john

"Not being able to govern events, I govern myself." - Michel De Montaigne
