Thread: P30 with RDS/PMO

    P30 with RDS/PMO

I wasn' sure if I should put this in the semi-auto forum or the RDS forum. Figured this was the place since it is more about the gun. Mods move as you see fit.

I know I am blowing the dust off of an old topic, but I am curious if anyone here is currently running a P30 with an optic. If so, what are the details of your setup and what has your experience been with it thus far?

I am pretty sure Default saw my VP9 with an Acro, was desirous of it, and sent off a slide to be direct milled. Unfortunately, he was hung over that morning, and sent a P30L slide by mistake, thinking it was a VP9L.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

There are very few companies doing this, because it is more complicated than other pistols due to the internal slide shape. Most will only do VP9s.

Off the top of my head L&M is the only company I can think.

As previously noted, I run a P30 with an RDS, technically two P30LSes, originally with RMRs, now just very recently ACROs. I went through Mark Housel for all my milling; he is a great guy, and very responsive to emails, which seems to be a rarity in this industry. I have added tried multiple carry comps with with RMRs (HKParts MicroComp, Arc Sparc, and now the Zev ProComp V2), and have not yet had any issues with quality ammo, mostly Speer Lawman or American Eagle; I have about 22k rounds I believe, would have to check my logs to get a more specific number. I do use suppressor height sights in order to have enough clearance for BUIS.

Other than that, no much to report that I can think of that's specific to the P30 series.

When I asked them about doing P30’s, they said the price was about double that for a VP9.
The first indication a bad guy should have that I'm dangerous is when his
disembodied soul is looking down at his own corpse wondering what happened.

One of the factors that moved me away from the P30.

We are on the same page. Love the P30 with LEM, but my eyes need the RDS more.
