I am by far no expert but I'd think any cartridge no matter how nuclear it is is marginal if you leave out shot placement and marksmanship. The best 9mm round is the one that hits a good spot, just like the best 22lr.
I'm not sure I understand your question, OP.
Higher pressure does not always equal higher velocity.
Shot placement & bullet selection are critical factors when determining ammunition selection for personal defence.
I think we can all agree that this thread has run it's course.
