    Open bottom competition holster

I mostly practice on an indoor range. If I'm using my competition rig, brass bounces off the divider and lands in my holster. This happened less with my old gun, but it happens a lot with my new one (X5) and new holster (Red Hill).

I'm looking for an open bottom or at least open enough that a 9mm case will fall through. I haven't really found anything. I realize I could heat gun or grind the end of the holster off, but I would prefer not to have to do that.

Does anybody have an ideas for what I'm looking for? It does need to have a Bladetech/Boss Hanger mounting pattern.

    Thanks!

Don't know where to point you for a holster - but I have had this exact thing happen to me quite a few times lately with my red hill holster, also running at indoor range.
The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me.

    Humbly improving with CZ's.

I’m getting pretty handy fishing cases out my holster with pasting tape stuck to a sharpie.

I would have guessed most competition holsters had an open bottom big enough to let 9mm cases drop out. Whether they're available for the X5 is another matter.

My Dale Fricke Gideon Elite isn't comparable with the Blade-Tech mount, but I think GJM has one with an optional mounting system.

I think the JM Custom Kydex Competition holster has an open bottom https://www.jmcustomkydex.com/p/Q-Ra...B-Holster.html

JM Custom Kydex? Looks like it might be open by default; if not, Tony could probably make one that way for you.

I’m gathering quite the collection of his holsters. I always request the bottom be left open. In addition to letting brass or other debris fall out, I can use any length of Glock.

I’d call or email Ben Stoeger Pro Shop or Shooters Connection and I bet they could help you out in only a few minutes of conversation. I’m used to modifying things so a band saw and scotch brite would be my answer although it’s not an option.
