Thread: 43x AIWB holsters

    Holster nirvana.

Had no idea a holster could be so perfect. I thought putting up with an uncomfortable piece of plastic in your pants was just part of the gig. This is the JMCK AIWB Wing Claw 2.0 with DCCs and I’m in awe at how comfortable this holster is for me. I opted for the 2.0 vs the 2.5 as I theorized the wide clip setup would aid in concealment. I also saw someone say the 2.0 concealed slightly better than the 2.5 so I decided to give it a whirl and I’m glad I did. I’ve only worn it around the house today but so far it’s head and shoulders above any other holster I’ve tried. Bending, squatting, and sitting is effortless. Excellent build quality. Improved concealment. I’m completely satisfied. Only thing I may change is upgrade to the VDEVGRU DCC with extra clamping pressure but so far these seem entirely adequate.

While not for a 43x, I’ve had a Velo for a S&W Shield. Quality holster but found the integrated molded wedge to be extremely uncomfortable and practically unbearable after 30min of wear. Of course holster selection and fitment is highly subjective and unfortunately an exercise in trial and error. Good luck.

I’m not 100% sold on the Tenicor, I purchased it used on this site. Wanted to give it a try.

    I normally use JM Custom.

Ok, I'll throw in my two cents here. But please bear in mind, this is from someone who has been trying IWB and AIWB (yikes) on and off throughout the past 36+ years off of carrying very predominately strong side OWB...
I have more than a handful of IWB and AIWB holsters in my holster box- more than I care to admit. But I never found anything that really worked with my physique, especially for appendix carry...
But recently I sprung for a Gen4 VELO from Tenicor for my G43/43X. Incredibly, I found a holster that works for me. I carry comfortably at 12:30 with the VELO and despite needing to get used to having a holster and pistol in that location (bending, sitting etc...) I think this holster is a winner for me. I coupled the holster with a https://vdevgru.com/products/megingj...y-belt-ver-3-0 AIWB specific belt (after all, the Graith Specialist is no longer available) and with some more work and repetition, I thing I've found something that works for me. YMMV

Which type of belt attachment are you using with the VELO?

I'm using the T1 1.5" belt clips. They are stiff and very secure with the vdevgru belt. With a little bit of practice, getting the holster on and off the belt gets easier each time- it take technique. And again, I'm not that familiar with AIWB, but this is working for me.

    Thanks.

I'm placing an order for one today. See how it goes...
