Mattis understands the necessity of foreign policy, as loathe as we may be to get involved in the ME the fact is there are some bad actors in that region that we need to counter and being involved is the only real way to do that.

Never hurts to have enough of a presence on the ground to know what the natives are up to. I think Mattis understands the threat. Trump is a fool when it comes to foreign policy. We will live to regret his failures.

...I'm trying to decide which side I will be on. Being on the left coast I think it will serve my interests to become a socialist so I can keep my social security and medicare. The socialist will have to rethink gun control because the nationalists will be a yuge threat without everyone having an AR or at least a shotgun.

They would just give you the bolt action rifle and your buddy 5 rounds for when you die. Getting rid of 30% of the population is the only way socialism works.
