Maybe. We issued USP .40’s when I retired almost 15 years ago, but recent photos indicate either M&P’s or P320’s are currently being carried in lieu of the HKs. There are also some 1911’s in evidence that weren’t authorized for uniform use back in the day. APD always had a pretty liberal personal weapons policy, so the real answer is who knows.
The first indication a bad guy should have that I'm dangerous is when his
disembodied soul is looking down at his own corpse wondering what happened.

This sort of tomfoolery is how you get city council members thinking it's a good idea for LEOs to check in their firearms at the end of their shifts.

Sometimes, it's just better to be a good witness.

For both officers involved. Professional courtesy starts and stops with being professional enough to not put the professionals in a position to have to judge your behavior.

As my favorite movie cop would say “next time, take a deep breath and pull your heads out of others ass, would ya”

Whether you think you can or you can't, you're probably right.

The Alhambra official feared for his safety and drew his firearm while inside his car, and in doing so fired one round that led to his own injury, the Police Department said.

We wish to thank the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement, without whose assistance this program would not have been possible.
