    @ranger A gun trace has nothing to do with registration. When the ATF traces a gun, they start at the manufacturer, and work their way down through distributors, dealers, etc, to the original owner that filled out the 4473.

    This. You get who the maker shipped it to, then you have to contact them to see who they sold it to, track that person down and see who they sold it to, etc. It's far from a registry. A registry would be like cars, type in the VIN and get the most recent person to register it.
    Sorta around sometimes for some of your shitty mod needs.
