Yep, and one of those two will be the dem candidate.

Warren won't answer the question about how she plans on free higher education and Medicare for all either. Somebody has to pay for that and it will be you and me. I had to pay (work my way) thru college and for about half of my life had no health care insurance or I paid for all of it.

I don't begrudge people having health care or going to college, but I don't want to be the one to pay for it. I'm not a socialist democrat.
In the P-F basket of deplorables.

Which Red Flag law would apply to this? Even a spelled out threat wouldn't, there's more prongs to the test then that. I'd also point out that threats of violence aren't really a 1st amendment issue. I've yet to see an Intimidation type law struck down on those grounds.

I’d rather statements like this be made openly and frequently. This gives the case against UBC clear meaning.

Many anti-gun arguments are made in bad faith, and this just proves that point.

Relative to the election, RFO is making no headway in the primary. His campaign has apparently decided that an aggressively confiscatory platform on gun control will win him the attention her money that he wants. We will see, but my perception is the pro-gun electorate is becoming ever more aroused and opposed. I’ve already started to see aggressive ads from the health care industry against the policies presented at the debates. With health care, immigration, and gun control being so heavily discussed, and political platforms being so firmly established, I’m very curious to see how voter turnout will break down.

Yep. AR/AKs are just the tip of the iceberg for these folks.

This rhetoric as also an unfortunate byproduct of the fact that so few of the nation hunt. Beto describes the damage done by the 223 as if it was some magical round. He brings up energy transfer and all these other terms to scare people and nobody questions him. Anyone who has ever hunted with a rifle has seen first hand what high velocity rifle bullets do and how they kill. Nobody on stage or in the press challenge him. No one asks him why the 223 is considered by many (including the US military) to be a marginal stopping round. Why Tom Givens and pretty much every other trainer teaches multiple shot. No they just let him define the myth that ARs and AKs spray out instant lethality and are somehow far more dangerous than other guns.

The promotion of ignorance pisses me off to no end.

The government can’t stop the flow of illicit drugs much less stop the drug users. Their talk of gun confiscation is just pandering by candidates to people too stupid to think it through. Imagine how bad this will go when they go door to door arresting and shooting people that have never done anything criminal before. Soon a candidate will be saying “those” people’s (gun owners) arrests and deaths don’t matter because we are better off without them. It will be more honest than Hillary’s deplorables comment. Mel tappan warned about this in the past. I have a Vietnamese friend whose father and uncles fought against north Vietnam. They all were all sent to re-education camps before they escaped to the US. I wish the Supreme Court would rule in gun owners favor about infringement. Maybe then our country could work on real solutions to our problems

    1. Spoke directly with my local LEO's (brass and patrol) who laughed before stating a clear "No" on the question of them coming to my house to confiscate my AR's.
    2. 1 out of 8 members of the US Armed Forces are from Texas. Somehow, I don't think the other 87% are gonna be too enthusiastic about violating the 2A.
    3. Amending the 2A simply isn't going to happen, because, numbers.

So..... Want my guns? Who you gonna call?

You're right. One of them will be the Dem nominee.

The fact that all of the Dem hopefuls, in their rush to "out-Lefty" the others, have taken positions on other issues (healthcare, the BS climate agenda, redistribution of wealth, massive loan forgiveness, the economy, national/border security) that are likely to drive away voters who don't vote strictly on 2A grounds. Clearly, the Dems have not figured it out yet, but last night wasn't absolute "trainwreck" for them as they presented themselves in a way that could only appeal to a very narrow, radical portion of their base and one that is far too small to guarantee their success in the 2020 contest.

Not only do I hope that they keep doing this until next year, but I hope they intensify their positions even more so than they have. This is perfect.

Just amazes me that this kind of person can have served in Congress and is now running for POTUS. I was born in the early 50s and it is truly a different America now.
