It takes a special kind of dummy...

It takes a special kind of dummy to change out the sights on his pistol 2 weeks before a AFHF class.
Especially when the new sights don't fit in the old holster.
Nothing like mixing things up completely just when things were coming together perfectly.
    I love adversity.

There are certainly better ways to go about it.

Next time just poke yourself in the eye with a fork, it might be less painful.

Nah. Try mating a brand new lower to a brand new upper and mounting a brand new RDS the night before a 3 day handgun and carbine class. In the hotel room, two states over from home.

    I'm getting better about that.

I mean, my first AFHF, I had just taken the pistol out of the FedEx box the night before and hadn't even run a single round through it; that's right, I took a custom 1911 that I hadn't even tested to a fairly high round-count shooting class. (I did bring spares; I'm dumb, but not that dumb.)

The second one, I'd owned the pistol for, like, a whole two weeks and put almost 400 rounds through it (although it was the first time I'd put in any serious trigger time on any pistol other than a 1911 or 22/45 since... oh... 2002.)

This class, I'll be using the same pistol as last year, so perhaps I'm learning.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

Perhaps Todd won't need the Voodoo doll if you keep this up.
