Dang, was going to get some more 180 grain .40 today. Decided instead to spend the budget slush on a cpuple movies for next month's annual horror fest, a new space tarp for the day pack, and a Skinner rear for my son's Henry lever-action twenty-two. My sense of timing continues to suck.

The 147 gr. HST is back in stock but back to normal prices. ($39.99/50).

    Have you chrono’ed it?

I really thought “old” HST was running at 950. But now I’n seeing 1000-1050 as reported numbers. Meanwhile AE and Lawman are reporting in a little low at 920-950. Neither of those is a recipe for matching like the old combo did.
In longer barrels maybe they get that speed but typical 3.5-4" both are under 1000fps...and within 30-40fps of each other.

I've been using 150gr HST micro for carry rounds since they have gamer recoil, are available everywhere, get best penetration among the HST line, hit top of HD front sight post as it should be. 900fps in 4" barrels.

I do not consider $40 for a 50 round box of 9mm HST normal.
