It might be difficult to find unknown gun trainers who are as capable as the, ahh, senior instructors.
Personal experience: I know several highly ranked martial artists who teach, and I know several of the same rank who do not teach. Those who have taught for several years are invariably better in their Art than those who haven't. It's not a secret why that's the case: teachers spend more time on the mat. I would imagine that the same observation would apply with shooting instructors.
