It’s a 25 round locked breach full size duty pistol in .32 ACP. Springfield has an inside track that now the FBI has transitioned to the 9mm, they’re still having issues with excessive recoil. Logic would dictate that if 9mm is just as effective as .44 Magnum, then .32 is just as effective as 9mm. Also, this gives you more capacity on hand, and quicker follow up shots than the 9mm.
This is something from Springfield I'd actually buy, if it had good sights and a decent trigger.

Springfield will bring back the P9, CZ 75 pattern gun.
